Efficiency is the ability to avoid wasting materials, energy, effort, money and time in doing something or producing a desired result. It is the ability to do things well, successfully and without waste. In organisations, efficiency plays a key part in growth and profitability.

By taking responsibility for past mistakes or failures, we move ourselves into a different perspective. If we can take the learning from past mistakes and apply them to new situations; or ensure we learn from current mistakes and apply tehm in new situations we will always be improving

Taking responsibility for something is the first step in achieving it, or overcoming an issue

Making a commitment in the moment can lead to responsibility being taken further down the line, and for the long term

Sometimes we forgot people just aren’t aware of what they are responsible for and helping them see can be a step in the right direction of them taking responsibility

Understanding the motivations beyond responsibility can ensure responsibility is sustainable. It can also be helpful to understand what might be getting in the way of taking responsibility. once we are aware of what is getting in the ways we can take steps to work round or overcome it

We each have our own perceptions of what responsibility is and the things we do that we think are taking responsibility. Don’t assume that what you think is taking responsibility is the same for someone else
